Ukraine’s road exports of agricultural products increase, driven by oils and processed goods

Ukraine slightly increased its road exports of agricultural products in early March. Between March 1 and 12, around 124.7 thousand tons were exported through border crossing points, compared to 120.7 thousand tons during the same period in February, according to ProAgro Group.

According to Spike Brokers, export flows remained concentrated on western routes, particularly toward Poland, Romania, and Hungary. The largest volumes passed through the Porubne–Siret (22.6 thousand tons), Krakivets–Korczowa (19.8 thousand tons), Rava-Ruska–Hrebenne (15.9 thousand tons), and Yahodyn–Dorohusk (14 thousand tons) border crossings.

The export structure was dominated by processed products and oilseeds. The largest volumes included sunflower oil (11.7 thousand tons), poultry meat (10.4 thousand tons), soybean meal (8 thousand tons), sugar (7.3 thousand tons), ethyl alcohol (7 thousand tons), and corn (5.1 thousand tons).

Compared to early February, the share of processed products — particularly vegetable oils, meals, and sugar — increased, while the share of grains declined, reflecting shifting logistics priorities and market conditions.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s road exports of agricultural products reached 260 thousand tons in February 2026, up by 24 thousand tons month-on-month, but down by 57 thousand tons year-on-year.
