Ukraine to harvest 60.3 mln tonnes of grain in 2026/27, exports seen at 51 mln tonnes

Ukraine’s grain market is entering the 2026/27 marketing year under pressure from large carryover stocks and intensifying global competition, ProAgro Group reports citing UkrAgroConsult.

According to analysts, carryover stocks may reach around 10.7 million tonnes, putting downward pressure on prices.

At the same time, total grain production in the new season is forecast at 60.3 million tonnes, with approximately 51 million tonnes expected to be exported.

Experts highlight that logistics constraints, rising costs, and global competition will remain key drivers of the market. Under these conditions, the market is shifting toward a buyer’s market, while export dynamics will depend on the need to reduce accumulated stocks.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine is entering the new season with significant grain surpluses, largely due to slower export pace caused by attacks on port infrastructure.
