USDA Forecasts Ukraine’s Sugar Production at 1.49 Million Tons in 2025/26 MY

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), in its latest report, forecasts that sugar production in Ukraine will reach 1.49 million tons in the 2025/26 marketing year. This figure remains unchanged from the May forecast but will be 310 thousand tons lower than in the 2024/25 season, reports «ProAgro Group».

Ukraine’s sugar exports are expected to reach 701 thousand tons, up by 1 thousand tons from the May estimate. Ending stocks are projected at up to 679 thousand tons, remaining unchanged compared to the previous estimate.

Regarding global trends, USDA experts predict world sugar production at 189.259 million tons, down by 59 thousand tons from the previous estimate. Global trade is estimated at 66 million tons, an increase of 770 thousand tons.

As previously reported, six Ukrtsukor factories have completed the 2025/26 sugar production season.
