Farms of the Agrein Group have completed another stage of monitoring the condition of winter crops in the regions where the company operates. According to the survey results, winter wheat crops remain in a stable state of winter dormancy and show no critical damage, ProAgro Group reports.
According to Taras Korniienko, Chief Agronomist of Agrein Group, winter crops developed a strong root system and tillering node back in autumn, which allowed them to successfully withstand winter conditions.
“The further development of winter crops will largely depend on weather conditions at the end of winter and at the beginning of spring vegetation,” Korniienko noted.
As previously reported, Agrein sowed winter crops on about 42% of its acreage for the 2026 harvest. The main winter crops include wheat, barley, and rapeseed, while the remaining areas will be allocated to spring and niche crops.
