Weather conditions in the first decade of November were generally favorable for winter crops, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (Ukrhydrometeorological Center). Moderately warm and humid weather, typical rather for the beginning of October, along with fog, drizzle, and light precipitation, positively affected the condition of the crops.
However, due to the slow accumulation of effective temperatures, active growth was not recorded — winter crops are developing slowly, without noticeable acceleration.
During the decade, rains of varying intensity were observed throughout Ukraine — from slight precipitation in most areas to moderate and even strong rains in the western and northern regions. Drizzle and thick fog were frequently recorded.
According to agrometeorologists, crops sown in September and early October reached the phase of mass tillering. Crops from the first half of October are in the phase of leaf and nodal root formation, and emergence continues in late sowings from the second half of October.
