The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the State Employment Service have announced the launch of applications for the state programs “Own Business” and “Grants for Veterans” for 2026, ProAgro Group reports.
Under the “Own Business” program, base microgrant amounts have been increased in 2026: up to UAH 100,000 without creating jobs, up to UAH 200,000 with the creation of one job, and up to UAH 350,000 with the creation of two jobs.
Entrepreneurs who operate or plan to operate in frontline regions are eligible for higher grant limits: up to UAH 300,000 for creating one job or up to UAH 500,000 for creating two or more jobs.
Additional opportunities have also been introduced for young people aged 18–25, who can receive grants of up to UAH 200,000 to start a business.
The “Grants for Veterans” program in 2026 continues to prioritize support for veterans, combat participants, people with disabilities resulting from the war, and their family members. New options have been added, including grants of up to UAH 1 million for families of fallen or missing defenders of Ukraine, provided that jobs are created.
The updated rules also allow entrepreneurs who have successfully implemented a previous project to receive an additional grant. In addition, the list of authorized banks has been expanded: Sense Bank has joined PrivatBank and Oschadbank.
Since February 4, 2026, both programs have been operating on a regular basis as long-term instruments to support entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic activity in local communities. Applications can be submitted online via the Diia portal.
Earlier, it was reported that starting February 2, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine resumed accepting applications for state grants to support horticulture, berry farming, viticulture, and greenhouse production.
