Astarta Completes Installation of Extraction Unit Equipment at Globyne Plant

In Globyne, Poltava region, construction is underway for Astarta’s soybean protein concentrate production plant. As of November 2025, the mechanical installation of the extraction unit equipment has been fully completed, and the installation of technological pipelines has begun, ProAgro Group reports.

The total weight of the installed equipment exceeds 1,000 tons. Due to limited space and the dense arrangement of equipment, installation was carried out using truck cranes and crawler cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 14 to 300 tons. The work was completed without the participation of a chief installer.

The project for the deep soybean processing plant and production of soybean protein concentrate was announced in 2021 with a cost of $50 million. Considering inflation, it is now estimated at around $80 million. The Globyne plant is expected to produce up to 100,000 tons of soybean protein concentrate per year.

As previously reported, the EU is recording a sharp decline in the overall processing volume of oilseeds.
