Coffee prices fall amid expectations of a record harvest in Brazil

Coffee prices declined on Thursday amid expectations of a strong harvest in Brazil, the world’s largest coffee supplier, ProAgro Group reports.

Arabica coffee futures settled down 0.2% in New York, falling to $3.0785 per pound, the lowest level in five months.

Brazil’s new coffee crop, harvesting of which will begin in a couple of months, could reach a record 75.8 million bags, according to a forecast by EISA cited by Reuters. One bag weighs 60 kilograms.

Arabica production is expected to total 48 million bags, while robusta output could reach 27.8 million bags, EISA said.

Earlier, it was reported that the average price of a cup of espresso in Ukraine rose to UAH 41 in December 2025, up 17% year-on-year, reflecting broader inflationary pressures and rising business costs.
