The egg market in Ukraine has stabilized

The food egg market in Ukraine currently demonstrates balance and dynamism. There are no negative forecasts for 2026, except for possible force majeure events — war or panzootics.

This was reported in the magazine “Our Poultry Farming” reported Yevhen Khailov, Head of Sales Department at LLC “Incuba”.

According to him, in 2025, the poultry population grew, enterprises timely procured replacement young stock and prepared better for the autumn-winter period than in previous years. Product exports remain stable with a tendency to increase, and prices for industry products are more balanced than before.

Egg production exceeds domestic demand, and part of the output is exported. Despite sufficient supply, prices are rising due to seasonality, rising costs of feed and energy, and active entry into EU markets. This increases producers’ revenues, but at the same time affects domestic prices.

Analysts name fluctuations in the cost of feed and energy carriers, possible export restrictions, and seasonal production declines among the risks. At the same time, prospects lie in modernizing production, stable demand in foreign markets, and expanding presence in the EU and among other importers. “Overall, the egg market in Ukraine is balanced but sensitive to costs and seasonal fluctuations. If production costs remain high, prices will continue to rise, and active exports will compensate for the surplus production and support the stability of the industry,” summarized Yevhen Khailov.
