Land Bank offers 21 plots for orchards at auctions in six regions

The Land Bank project has offered 21 land plots for sublease through the Prozorro.Sale system in six regions of Ukraine for the establishment of perennial plantations, ProAgro Group reports.

According to the Land Bank, the proposed plots are available for sublease for a period of 25 years. The plot sizes range from 0.14 hectares to 91.40 hectares.

The largest number of lots is presented in Zakarpattia region, where 10 plots ranging from 0.40 to 26.87 hectares are available. Auctions will start on February 27.

In Mykolaiv region, five plots are offered for sublease, including the largest lot intended for orchard establishment, with areas ranging from 17.58 to 91.40 hectares. Auctions there will begin on March 11. In Poltava region, three plots sized from 3.61 to 21.80 hectares will be auctioned on March 12 and 18.

One plot each is offered in Sumy region (27.74 hectares, auction on March 13), Kyiv region (2.26 hectares, March 23), and Dnipropetrovsk region (0.14 hectares, March 6).

As previously reported, this month the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine resumed accepting applications for state grants to support the development of horticulture, berry production, viticulture, and greenhouse farming. In particular, orchard grants can be obtained for planting and developing areas from 1 to 25 hectares. The maximum support amount is up to UAH 10 million per recipient, but no more than UAH 400,000 per hectare.
