Modernized “Eurobridge” Intermodal Terminal Launched in Zakarpattia

The upgraded “Eurobridge” intermodal terminal has started operations in Zakarpattia, providing cross-border rail freight transportation and connecting Ukraine logistically with Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania, according to ProAgro Group.

According to Viktor Mykyta, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, an investment of over UAH 120 million by the German company Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) in partnership with the Ukrainian investment fund Fortior Capital will enable the terminal to handle around 100,000 containers per year starting this year, with further expansion potential.

“This is an important decision for Ukrainian businesses that continue exporting products to EU countries despite the war. At the same time, dozens of new jobs with competitive salaries have been created, and the company generates millions in revenue for the local budget,” the official noted.

He also emphasized that the renovated terminal plays a key role in developing cross-border logistics and integrating Ukraine into the European transport network.

As previously reported, the Chornotysiv terminal in Zakarpattia began accepting containerized grain for domestic transportation in December 2025.
