Olhopil farm launches spring sowing campaign with peas

The agricultural company Olhopil in Vinnytsia region has started its 2026 spring sowing campaign, ProAgro Group[a1]  reports.

According to the company, relatively small areas have been allocated for spring grains and legumes this season, mainly for seed production. The campaign began with pea sowing.

The company describes the early sowing phase as a “warm-up stage,” with the main focus ahead on key crops such as sugar beet, corn, and sunflower, which are стратегic for the farm.

Ahead of the campaign, Olhopil completed early spring fertilization of winter crops on frozen-thawed soil. Rapeseed, winter wheat, and barley received initial nitrogen applications, including ammonium sulfate and ammonium nitrate.

The company emphasizes that this practice helps максимально utilize soil moisture накоплену за зиму and establish a strong yield potential before active vegetation resumes.

Earlier, Tekom Agro Group in Odesa region also launched its sowing campaign, starting with lentils.
